Stockport's 14-19 Area Prospectus allows all young people, parents and carers, teachers, careers advisers and other professionals to access information on the range of choices available to young people across the borough.

The prospectus aims to bring all the information available to young people from the different institutions in the borough together in a clear and easily accessible format through the website.

The full range of providers located within the borough is included: schools, sixth form colleges, general Further Education college and training providers.

You will also be able to access information about courses in the surrounding areas (For Greater Manchester use the portal, plus Derbyshire, Cheshire and Warrington).

Search for courses by course or subject name and see all the providers who offer the subject.
You can restrict your search to courses available for a particular age group or search for all.

Search for a particular provider (school, college or training provider) and see the courses they offer.

Search by Keyword (e.g. languages, car, hair or BTEC) to focus your search.

Young people are encouraged to seek advice from their teachers/tutors and Connexions Personal Adviser who can discuss the choices available and provide guidance on the pathway they may wish to follow:

If you are selecting your options for Key Stage 4 (Year 10) and see something you are interested in but are not sure if it is offered by your school please ask your teachers/tutors or Connexions Personal Adviser. Do not contact the college, training provider or school direct.

If you are selecting post-16 options, you are encouraged to seek advice from your teachers/tutors or Connexions Personal Adviser before making application to the college/training provider.
